WingStack founder Del Castillo joins the Ironbird Partners Podcast

Del Castillo joins Ironbird Partners to discuss AI, the cost of private aviation software and giving charter brokers more time for client relationships.

WingStack founder Del Castillo joined Dan on the Ironbird Partners Podcast for a conversation about the economics of private aviation software. Published by Ironbird on August 14, 2026, the episode explores AI-assisted software development, WingStack's approach to broker access and the work technology can take off an aviation team's desk. Watch the original episode below, then explore WingStack's perspective on putting those ideas into practice.

The conversation: technology that supports the broker

Ironbird's episode notes describe a discussion of repetitive quoting work, fragmented customer records and the challenge of connecting aviation workflows. They also cover Del's view that technology should give brokers more capacity for relationships and service. The full interview is the source for the conversation; the planning ideas below are WingStack's own editorial takeaways.

Our takeaway: choose one workflow to improve

A useful software evaluation starts with a concrete handoff. Choose a recent example: an assistant could not find the latest itinerary, a broker had to enter the same details twice, or a revised request did not reach the right person. Show that example in a walkthrough and ask each participant to identify their next action.

This makes the evaluation specific enough to learn from. Record what the team can now find or complete, where human review still belongs and which questions remain open. A long feature checklist matters less if the original coordination problem remains unresolved.

For planners: bring your broker into the discussion

Planners can initiate that conversation with the broker they already trust. Explain the outcome you want for the next trip and ask for a joint demonstration. You might focus on keeping an itinerary current or making it clear when a requested change has been confirmed.

Agree on one planner contact, one broker contact and a small pilot. Keep a direct route for urgent travel questions, and review the experience together after the trip. Our broker-request guide includes a message you can adapt without committing either team to a full process change.

Explore the product behind the conversation

Use the episode as an introduction, then check the current product and pricing for the workflow you want to run. A conversation about software economics does not by itself describe the total cost of a charter flight or the terms of a particular booking.

WingStack's role guide and demo are practical next stops for planners, brokers and travelers. Bring a sample itinerary and a real coordination question to the walkthrough. The aim is to leave with a shared understanding of who updates the trip, who confirms a change and what the traveler receives.
